I believe I am brave enough to answer your comment……
- The promoters in Puerto Rico are not making the same amount of money for promoting events such as UFC, Affliction etc. Those events are million dollar events with heavy investors and strong sponsorship.
Gina, how can you compare apples with oranges?
Anthony is doing a great job organizing fight events and maybe just maybe he his clearing up to $20,000 take home money per event.
Possibly less… especially after paying the ring girls ( the dark skin girl I think is the hottest ring girls I ever seen ) I would pay her $5,000 just to walk around my cage ( if you know what I mean ) caliente mami!
Now what about the clothing they had on…. that alone must have cost another $5,000 especially the guy running around with a black jacket and 50 pounds of embroider bling bling…. HE LOOK LIKE EDDIE BRAVO ON STERIODS!!!!!!! HEY BROTHER WHO DID YOUR HAIR?????
People….. give Anthony and his people a break, he is trying his best and he is doing a great job!!!!!
According to my inside rat sources Anthony paid a great deal of money to the fighters…. to my knowledge one fight group was able to eat at Denny’s in caguas and they ordered desert and even was able to leave a tip…… Thank YOU Anthony!!!!!!
Anyone knows how to contact the dark skin ring girl….she is HOT!!
Gina or any one else please respond!!!!
Saludos the SLINKY RAT
Thank you slinky rat for your response, but I think that if they want to promote MMA events here they should strive for better events and get the backing of better sponsors so that they can have events with the same quality as the States. Don’t they say that Puerto Rico makes it better, well then, prove it.
Don’t get me wrong and sorry for being so harsh but aren’t you sick and tired of people copying whatever is done in the States and coming up with things that are mediocre at best. If I am going to pay the amount of money they want for these events, hey make it worth it not only for the spectators but for the fighters, sorry they work their
%$##@ off training and a lot of them have families and other jobs so it is a big sacrifice for a measly pay.
As for the exposure and “professional record”, because these events are not championship events they don’t count as professional fights for the fighters they are amateur fights until they have a belt. So Bernie Ramos or any of these fighters don’t have a real professional record because they still don’t have belts, this is just amateur.
Gina… good to read from you again I like your writing ability–now lets get to business!!!
- Where are all the the big sponsor names in MMA today? If you watch any major pay per view event these days, you will notice that other sports have a larger brand name sponsors. With the UFC posting over 220 million in pay per view buys last year, why are the most exciting athletes getting paid peanuts. Maybe this is only a very temporary situation after all. This sport is gaining explosive popularity, soon the big brands are gonna come knocking its just a matter of time.
-And Gina you are correct… WE do train our asses off… yes I said WE!
The time and effort, dedication is endless but we love….. yes LOVE it!! I will never stop training its in our DNA. When you love what you do, you will be good at it no matter what it is. Sponsors or no sponsors we are TRUE WARRIORS.
Thank you for your intelligent support!
Get some rest you look tired….

To lascosascomoson I am not a hater I just give my humble opinion and everyone is entitled to one. About what and when the fighters where paid not everyone got paid $500 the same night of the fight, you can ask several fighters that didn’t get paid that night, so get your facts straight.
Unfortunately, beaurocracy plays a big role in how things are done here that is why MMA hasn’t had the acceptance it should but no matter what the boxing comission tries to do MMA is here to stay. Getting better with their events should be their goal but you figure that with 3 events under their belts they would have enough experience on what works and doesn’t. I am not knocking their efforts but I think they should work harder to give the audience what they pay for specially with the experience they have. I hope MAXFC4 has a better turnout, and is more organized. Give us more fight and less show please.
yeah.. i really hope that too !! i’d like these fights to be at a bigger venue with more fights… lets see what MaXX FC 4 brings…
Hey guys and “girls”….DID ANYONE HEAR ABOUT THE RUMORS OF THE OTHER FIGHT PROMOTER NEGOTIATING A FIGHT IN PUERTO RICO????
I HEARD FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE THAT CONTRACTS HAVE NEED SIGNED….ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING????????
SLINKY RAT
Hey slinky!! I haven’t heard those rumors but tiralo al medio y dinos quien es. Ahora que hay competencia, maybe Maximo will get his act together and start doing business the right way.
Another mma organization here on our island would be better for the fans more fights to see. Another orginazation would be better for the fighters more options and more fight which means you could fight more and not have too worrie about your full time job some much.Another organization would bring more eyes of companies that sponser fights and fighters. When P.R.has it first champ on a big time company like WEC or UFC you will see the doors open like in Other island when cabbage and BJ Penn blew up. So you can be a big fish in a small pond or be apart of something bigger. There are people out there with money willing to invest but only with people that carry them self as professionals not like thugs. We may not like each other or live on the same side of the island but in the end no matter what flag you salute I think we would all like to see some one or a bunch of fighters from this island make it. Peace to the rats snakes flakes freaks and skaters. Crocop gets the gas face
